In line with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) evaluation policy, country programme evaluation (CPE) of the ninth cycle of Programme (CP9) of Assistance to the Government of India (2018-2022) was conducted by an external, independent team of evaluators.
Key purpose of the CPE is to (i) demonstrate accountability to stakeholders on performance in achieving development results and on invested resources; (ii) support evidence-based decision-making; and (iii) contribute key lessons learned to the existing knowledge based on how to accelerate the implementation of the Programme of Action of the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).
