UNFPA initiated the Research for Impact (R4I) meetings to enhance the understanding and relevance of ongoing research by leveraging existing expertise, building a community around key issues, periodically reviewing research directions, addressing critical topics, and incorporating insights from allies and partners. These forums aim to generate fresh evidence, shape thinking, guide program interventions, and support policy advocacy.
Two R4I review meetings held in May and December 2023 in New Delhi have laid the groundwork for the 30th anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development and UNFPA India's 50th anniversary in 2024.
The outcomes of the R4I Review Meeting Round II are vital for various stakeholders, including UNFPA’s funding partners and government bodies, as they seek actionable solutions to India's developmental challenges.
