A workshop was organized on 27th Sep 2017 to diseminate findings of a study on quality & rights issues in Postpartum Intrauterine Contraceptive Device (PPIUCD). 86 District Corporation health officers attended the workshop.

Anuja Gulati, state coordinator of UNFPA India in Maharashtra, did a presentation on key findings of the study. Dr Ramesh Bhosale, Head of Department, BJ Medical College presented the SOG's for PPIUCD. Dr. N.D.Deshmukh, Dy Director, FP did a presentation on counseling for PPIUCD.

This was followed by an exercise to understand participants perceptions on their needs to improve quality. Their perception on role of Quality Assurance Committee for improving quality of PPIUCD service was also received.

Based on the recommendations of the workshop, the state will issue guidelines on counseling & to improve quality of PPIUCD services
